The role:
A great opportunity for a GUI interface design specialist to join an innovative customer experience team working on mobile, messaging and telecommunications services for brands like Nike, DPD Geopost Deutschland, GAME, T-mobile, ...
The role is based in the Berlin office of the VoxGen Group and involves work on both German and International projects – the other main markets being the UK and USA. You will be an experienced designer and implementer of GUI front ends for mobile and web solutions who supports development of projects in various technologies and software architectures.
Your tasks consist of:
• graphic design:
- define look&feel and create all deliverables and assets needed for implementation
- produce graphics and layouts for other visual materials to support projects and business needs
• user interface design / interaction design:
- Analysis and documentation of user goals and work processes (use cases)
- Mapping of complex workflows in a user-friendly interface and designing efficient interaction concepts
- creating wireframe models and clickable prototypes (e.g. with Balsamiq)
- iteratively produce the presentation layer for different types of graphical user interfaces (e.g. webbased applications (mobile and desktop), apps on iOS/Android/other, eclipse plugins, …)
- Manage improvements and optimizations to existing websites and mobile services
• user experience design:
- requirements analysis and support of the research team looking into the business problem of the client
- map out user journeys for new experiences across web and mobile/tablet devices
- definition of user interface guidelines and usability tests
- evaluate existing user experiences on mobile and web for our clients
Your profile:
• Several years experience in customer-facing UX roles in large scale projects
• Completed studies in media design, interaction design, UX design or comparable
• Several years of professional experience as a GUI designer or Interaction designer
• fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator or friends
• ability to create user-friendly interfaces with deep appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems
• Secure sense of visual quality and a keen interest in current trends in new media forms
• desirable is: profound knowledge with HTML and CSS, experience with JavaScript, knowledge of standard and proven usability guidelines, creating usability prototypes and environments, Experience in the design of video elements and animations
• it would be advantageous to also have skills for design of multichannel services: e.g. voice user interface design and experience in frontend development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery mobile or similar web frameworks)
• we assume good analytical and conceptual skills, commitment, high quality awareness as well as the ability to work in a team
• own responsibility and work independently, strong communication skills, service orientation
